AM01 CAN - base marine cable. This cable is to be used along with the dedicated terminal cable specific to every vehicle manufacturer.
This cable supports specific functions and the CAN protocol that are not supported by the AM01 cable.
The cable can be identified by its RED cap with a LED. It has two connectors : a 2-way female (possible external power supply) and a 4-way male (communication connector).
For use as a base cable (ex : AM01 CAN + AM25):
Connect the terminal cable associated with the vehicle to diagnose (for example AM25) to the 4-way male connector. If requested by the software, connect the power clamps, which will then be connected to the engine/vehicle battery to power the diagnostic tool, to the 2-way female connector.
Note : This cable is not to be confused with the AM01 cable, which is similar in appearance but is identifiable by a dedicated sticker and a BLACK cap. See the software’s indications in regards to this cable's use, which terminal cable to use, and whether or not external power supply is required.
